  • Grain Brewery SIBA Awards Monday 18 March 2024

    The Grain Brewery came away from the Society of Independent Brewers National Beer Awards at BeerX in Liverpool last week with 4 awards including two Golds, plus a Silver for Overall Champion Keg Beer of the UK!

  • Ampersand Brewery Dark Beers Showcase Wednesday 25 October 2023

    Ampersand Brew Co. will be holding a showcase of dark beers from Wednesday 1st to Sunday 5th of November at the Brewery Tap in Sawmills Road, Diss. From their Facebook page:

    "Embrace The Darkness - In a few weeks time we will be putting on a week-long celebration of all things dark, roasty and delicious. From the Wednesday 1st to Sunday 5th of November we will be pouring some super fresh dark beers alongside some cellar-aged specials and one-off variations on some of our most popular stouts and porters. It’s going to be a beautiful expression of our love for the darker end of the beer spectrum - if you love a dark beer you’ll be right at home, and if you don’t usually go for them then now is the time to try across the range!"

  • Grain Brewery "Meet The Brewer" event Sunday 8 October 2023

    Grain Brewery will be holding a "Meet the Brewer" event on Friday 27th October, starting at 18.00, with Alan Thompson of The Old Chimneys Brewery to celebrate the launch of Good King Henry V. Grain have also won two awards in CAMRA's Champion Beer of Britain, East Anglia area, and those awards will be presented during the event.

  • Humber Doucy Brewery visit Friday 6 October 2023

    The Stowmarket & District Chamber of Commerce have arranged a visit to the Number Doucy Brewery at Bacton on Friday 6th October, with beer tasting. Open to all but tickets need to be purchased in advance at £6 to £6.50 on the following link: Number Doucy visit tickets

  • Star Wing Brewery Closes Monday 18 September 2023

    The Star Wing Brewery at Redgrave, in Suffolk, sadly announced today that they would be closing the brewery and taproom. The following message was posted on their Facebook page:

    "Hi all, we have decided to finally close Star Wing Brewery for good (in its current business format), although we will be honouring some private bookings we have into mid-October. The tap room will now be closed permanently. Thanks to those of you who supported us through the ups and downs post-pandemic. Bottles available from the brewery door until they are gone! We wish you well for the future. Mark, Adam and Ruth."

  • Ampersand, Grain & Bull of the Woods are winners at the 2023 Harleston Beer Festival Monday 19 June 2023

    Mid Anglia CAMRA members were invited to this years Harleston Beer Festival by the organisers, Harleston & District Round Table, to judge the best beers of the event.

    The Gold award for the best beer went to Ampersand for "Cocow". Winning Silver was "Lignum Vitae" from Grain and the Bronze award went to Bull of The Woods for "Banjo Hill".
